I'm sure you all know by now that I can't resist a Liberty print and while I was in London recently I chose five new prints to try out.  Usually I only buy Tana Lawn but this time I decided to try out some cotton poplin too.  These are the prints I chose in Tana Lawn...

You can see I liked Ikat Night so much I chose two colourways - blue and green!  I've been wearing the green Ikat Night necklace to try it out and am very pleased with it!

And here's a closer look at the fabrics I've used.  There's traditional, geometric, floral, bold, graphic, whimsical, bright - in fact something for everyone!  There's a bit more detail about the prints over on Folksy.  I was particularly pleased to find the Pattern Map fabric below.  Who doesn't love a nice map - particularly one illustrated like this.

All the necklaces are made with Tana Lawn which is a beautiful soft cotton that feels great against the skin.  You can tie the necklaces with a bow or a knot and vary the length from choker to mid chest depending on what you're wearing.  They can even be carefully handwashed.  What's not to love!

Linda Wormald's Garden Gallery, York

Linda Wormald & her Garden Gallery

Towards the end of 2021 I discovered a little gem of a gallery in York.  It's called the Garden Gallery and it's run by a very talented lady called Linda Wormald.  Linda is a contemporary artist who specialises in landscapes and seascapes inspired by North Yorkshire & Scotland.  Her paintings, in acrylics and oils on canvas, are a delight of colour and texture.

In her gallery, as well as Linda's own art, you will find a treasure trove of work by local artists and makers.  In fact, a number of my friends received Christmas presents that I found there.

Anyway there are two pieces of good news.  The first is that the gallery reopens for spring on Thurday 10 March 2022.  And the second is that you'll be able to buy my work there too!

Linda Wormald's Garden Gallery reopens on Thursday 10 March 2022 and can be found at 3 Windmill Lane, York, YO10 3LG.  It is open from Thursday to Saturday from 10.30am until 4pm.  Go see!

If you happen to be a member at York's David Lloyd club, it's just a short walk from the carpark and you can combine it with some exercise.
