It's almost that time of year again when the York Makers Winter Fair puts in an appearance to make your Christmas shopping easy. Pop the date in your diary - Saturday 22 November 2025 at Clements Hall, Nunthorpe Road, York, YO23 1BW from 10am to 4pm. Expect to find me there along with other stallholders who will be selling candles, terrazzo homeware, textiles and clothing, leather goods, prints and cards, paintings, stained glass, wooden items, felted creations, paper and book art, ceramics and jewellery of all sorts. This year we have the added bonus of a cafe run by Planet Food. It'll be a great event to start your Christmas shopping or to treat yourself.

It's that time of year again, the York Makers Winter Fair will soon be here.  It's a lovely event with lots of interesting local artists and makers who will be exhibiting.  There will be all sorts of jewellery, textiles, art, cards and prints, ceramics, clothing, leather goods, candles, stained glass, felted items, wooden birds and animals, wildlife sculptures in paper clay and baked goods. Entry is free and there's a cafe.  It's all happening at Clements Hall, Nunthorpe Road, York, YO23 1BW on Saturday 23 November 2024 from 10am to 4pm.  Do come along!

Hippystitch at York Makers Winter Fair - Saturday 25 November 2023

The York Makers Winter Fair is nearly here and it's going to be great! It's at Clements Hall, Nunthorpe Road, York, YO23 1BW on Saturday 25 November 2023 from 10am to 4pm.  Entry is free and there is a cafe.  I shall be there and I thought you might like to know what I'm bringing.

As well as my colourful fabric necklaces pictured above and my flower button bracelets, I shall be bringing some stitched cords which are completely new.  If you're wondering what to do with these - you can use them to wrap up presents or you can stitch them into small vessels, as pictured below...

And completely new for this year, I have a lucky dip.  These are a bargain and would make lovely Christmas presents.  They are samples, experiments or lines that I don't make any more.  Once you've had a lucky dip, you may not be able to resist coming back for more.

There will also be lots of other local makers there too selling ceramics, woodturned items, leather goods, stained glass, terrazzo homeware, wildlife inspired sculpture, jewellery, textiles both knitted and stitched, felted items, art, prints, cards, and baked goods. York Makers Winter Fair is returning to Clements Hall, York on Saturday 13 November 2021 after having to cancel the event last year due to Covid.  I'm really looking forward to exhibiting there and I'm sure all the other artists and makers are too!  This will be my only event selling Hippystitch goodies this year and it will be so nice to meet my customers in person - and to check out all the other makers' wares too!
